Edmans Come to town!!

Our dear friends from Maryland moved to California after pharmacy school graduation. They are about 8 hours from us, and they drove to Portland to visit relatives. They asked to stay with us one night, and I begged them for two so we could play all day on Monday. It turned out to be one of the most amazing days!! We started out at the tide pools and then hiked to the lighthouse.
They have a nice camera... remember mine died. But I really liked their picture of our lighthouse.

We took the tour to the lighthouse and the kids loved to see all the gears and the stairs!!

After the light house we went to the lake for a picnic lunch and swimming. The kids love sand and water, and they got plenty of it.

It was fun to see how much their kids had grown!! Darcy and Camden were just infants when we left!
One of my favorite things was swimming with Jayne. We swam out to the dock in the middle of the lake and jumped off. I have seen all the teenagers doing it all the time, and it looks fun, but I haven't been able to do it with the kids. AJ was great to take picture and watch the kids on the beach so we could go live the girl scout dream. We hope they make us a regular stop when they visit family up north. :)
Justin was gone Saturday and Sunday because of his grandfathers funeral. He flew to Utah to spend time with family and he had a lot of fun. He even made it to the miserable BYU game in which they lost. Justin got home late Sunday night and worked on Monday. We did get to spend time with him that night at the beach as we watched the sunset, and flew kites. It was so fun to play with old friends. They do win the award for picking the best weather. It was almost 90 degrees that day, which is completely unheard of. We usually don't get much over 75 degrees.

Thanks so much for opening your home to us. Get used to us visiting. We'll be back. Believe the hype people. Florence is awesome!

Interestingly, I heard a story on the radio about the squids on the beach on the way to work the next day.

It was so fun to visit you. Thank you for showing us so many fun things. I keep wishing we were back there or that we could live there. For a few days I looked at houses in Florence but I had to stop. It couldn't happen for almost 3 years so I am just teasing myself. But we definitely want to come again. My favorite was fulfilling that Summer Camp dream too. The water was cold, but very refreshing.

How fun. You guys are always doing something fun there. Maybe we should move to Florence. Do you still love it?

How fun to have visitors! I can't believe how much and how FAST both of your families kiddos have grown! That lighthouse looks really cool, too!
