Last minute Trip to Utah

My great-grandma just passed away, and last minute we decided to use one of my sisters buddy passes and head to Utah to be with family. When flying stand-by, you don't always get what you want, and I ended up getting there Tuesday instead of Sunday. I missed Grandmas funeral, but was able to spend time with family. Justin was unable to come so last minute and we missed him.
We TRIED to take a family picture. I took Brayden away from his empty plate of ice cream. This was the beginning, because he was unable to lick his plate clean- not a happy camper. He ended up hitting Camden, who got mad and started crying who then made baby Kaleb start crying. It was a fun turn of events... but we finally ended up with a nice picture. Thank heavens for Digital.

It was fun to see my cousin, her kids and my aunt. They are fun.

I called my buddy from college, McCall and it was so fun to visit!! She just graduated from Dental Hygiene and is starting to look for a job in Utah. She was staying in Brigham and zipped over for a quick visit. She is awesome, and it was so much fun to catch up!

I think this is what their kids are going to look like...

Lisa Calderwood is sooo funny. Randomly, she was going on a family vacation and called me to tell me she was driving through Brigham and was thinking about me. She had no clue I was actually in Brigham. On her way back home, they stopped and visited. It was so fun to hear all that is going on, I wish Justin was here to see Cody too.

It was fun to see my cousin and his family. They just moved to Utah to do his Medical school rotations. It will be fun to see more of them.

Okay, in college I learned how to cut hair. It has been nice to cut my kids hair, Justins hair, and even other family members. My grandmas husband has a few weeks to live, and they asked me to give him his last haircut. Who would have known that this little skill would be so useful.

The kids loved being with Grandma and Grandpa. They loved the little pool outside. I enjoyed visiting outside on the porch watching them.

I had to make one trip to the big outdoor pool in town. We don't have a pool where we live and the kids loved the slides, the mushroom, and playing. Needless to say it was a fabulous trip. Short, but fun. I hope that next time we go to Utah we can see more friends and family.

What a great trip. The story of the family pictures sounds all too familiar, but they turned out great.
