Pickin'

This last week was my birthday, which was absolutely fabulous. On my birthday I got up early to go running with my running buddy, but instead of running neighborhoods we headed out to the beach. It was so much fun to run a few miles on the beach and see the light house in the distance. That afternoon we went to the playground, hiked to some sand dunes, and then went to the lake and went swimming. I have learned to love this place and this is why... All of that is within 5 minutes of my house.

We decided to celebrate on the following day, because Justin had the day off. We headed up to one of the local farms for the U-Pick Strawberries. They are so devine. Brayden and Camden filled their tummies, and missed the buckets. We loved them!! This year my family has eaten over 35 lbs of strawberries. We just cannot get enough of them. I will have to say, in Maryland this was one of my favorite things to do, head to Baughers to get the fresh produce. I am so excited to find that they have it in Oregon too!! How Lucky!!

We left home with a big rain cloud, hoping that by the time we crossed the mountains it would be nice. The rain cloud followed us all the way into Eugene, we felt like that grumpy cartoon with a rain cloud following us. It was so funny. Right as we got there it cleared up, and blue skies with 70 degrees. We couldn't have asked for better weather.

Later that night I went to the grocery store to make sure we had ample amounts of whip cream for all those strawberries. I realized that I couldn't find my purse!! I had left it in Subway when we stopped for lunch. I was SOOO frustrated with myself. I had my purse stolen two months ago, and I am still replacing everything. Lucky for me Subway had it, and I just had to drive the 45 minutes each way to get it. :)

All is well, and the kids still love strawberries. Camden was the only one who ate too much that he got sick to his stomach and spit up all over his bedding. We love Strawberries!! Cant wait for pick your own Peaches!!
