Justin was with the kids, and when I got home Brayden told me that he put a hole in the carpet. I looked at Justin in disbelief. Sure enough Brayden had put a hot lamp on the carpet in his room, and this was the result. WHAT DO YOU DO??? I can't even believe that it happened. We bought the carpet the end of March.

AHhhh! Frustrating! But I guess we just have to buy things with the idea in mind that it will probably just get ruined - then we won't be surprised when it does. That's rough though. I say buy a cute rug.c
Contact the place you bought the carpet you will be amazed how they can cut it out and patch it and you won't even notice it. Love your blog - Terry
Oh my goodness! Kids!!! I'm sure you can patch it but wouldn't life be easier if kids would just stop destroying things?!?!? Alayna borrowed a toy from a friend today and broke it less than 5 minutes after we got home - ARG!!!
P.S. - If you have extra carpet you can probably patch it yourself. If you end up buying some, I'd get extra for any future experiments. :)
Oh, the joys of children!
When Kevin was little he decided to take my red nail polish to the living room carpet ... and the drapes ... and the walls. Our insurance actually covered it and it was replaced. We had only had the new carpet a matter of months when he decided to light a candle on the carpet. Thank heaven he chose the corner behind the couch the second time around.
I was going to mention what my mom did--Kevin lighting the carpet on fire. It was burned forever...the difference is: he didn't tell us about it. We had to discover it. Sigh...
Ahhh!!! Sounds like good advice and I am sure we will be breaking in the new carpet in the playroom, shortly...
