This and That

Recently we have had some fun experiences that I have neglected to write down, so I might as well put them on the blog right?
  • I cut my hair... it is about time and I was to the point that I didn't know how to do my hair other than a pony tail..
  • I won tickets to a concert!! One of the perks of living in small town America is that when the radio station has people call in to win tickets, it is actually possible! Justin and I got to go to the "Survivor" Concert. So FUN!
  • We took the boys camping last weekend before Thanksgiving. Yes, you can still camp in November if you live here. It was our first time in a Yurt, and definately not the last. We had great weather, but a difficult time starting a fire with tons of humidity during rainy season. So much for the fire.
  • We went to the Tillamook Cheese factory- Totally fun.
  • Hiked to a different lighthouse, and a 266-foot waterfall. We lucked out with AMAZING weather and it was breathtaking. I am still waiting to see a whale. A little bummed I didn't get to see one this weekend. Even more sick that I don't have a camera right now.
  • Had a wonderful Thanksgiving with great friends, thanks Brian and Ann!
  • We even decorated for Christmas! So excited for the holiday season and this year is even more exciting because we are in our new house. We have a front window and a fire place and Mantle!! We even went a little crazy and decorated outside for the first time. Justin and I have had so much fun with our touch of creativity.
  • After decorating, we watched "How the Grinch Stole Christmas", bad idea!! Brayden decided to be the grinch and load up his stocking with all of the christmas ornaments. Good thing his heart grew three sizes and he put them all back :)

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

I gave a copy of a prescription to a pharmacist in Newport the other day and mentioned that we loved our visit to Florence. His response? "Yeah, Florence is great if you like wind and rain." Apparently no love for Florence in Newport, OR.

I thought we were friends!!! You change your phone number and don't even tell me.... I see how it is!!
I guess only my "friends" get Christmas cards this year.

You are so good in keeping up with your blog. I love that I can ride along on the sidelines and have a little peek into your life across the miles. You have such a cute family.

It has been weeks now since you cut your hair, and still no picture posted? What's up?

A yurt! That sounds like fun! I have only been in one once... is already there and you reserve it, or do you assemble it like a tent? I can't remember. I am so sad you don't have a camera! I would love to have seen the waterfall you described!
