Afton Linton is HERE!!

Afton Linton joined our family on August 3rd 2010. She arrived weighing 8 lbs 0 oz and 20 inches in length.

Here is the story:
Uncle Brett came to visit for a week- I am 38 weeks pregnant. He really wanted to see her before he went back home. I wanted to have a fun week with him and not worry about labor, delivery and recovery while he was here. Needless to say, we both got our way. The last night he was here we stayed up playing games until midnight and I talked with him until 1 am. At 3:00 I woke up with major contractions and a broken water. By the time we realized this was for real, and got everything together we made our 1 mile drive to the hospital. We got there between 3:30 and 4:00, and Afton was born at 6:16 am. Our Doctor let Justin deliver the baby and everything went well. Brett got to stay with the boys until they woke up and then brought them to the hospital. He was at the hospital for about 1 1/2 hours and then went to the airport. I got the fun week, and he got to see her right before he left. Crazy part was that I was swimming in the lake the day before I delivered.

Who is the doctor around here? :) I also have pictures of them using the delivery light to look at eachothers teeth...

Uncle Brett was visiting and it was nice to have him with the boys while we went to the hospital at 3:30 in the morning. Luckily she early enough for him to see her before he took off to the airport.

This is our family... 3 kids!! Wow! Look at this- I am 30 years old, drive a mini-van and have 3 kids! Good thing I have such an incredible husband!

The super heroes come to the rescue! They are so excited about baby Afton, and they promise to always protect her.

Here we are right after delivery! Can you believe it? I sure can't

How wonderful! I'm so thrilled that little Afton arrived safe and sound. She's a beauty. I think she definitely resembles her grandpa Mike (which is amazing since she's so pretty!). Love you.

What a beautiful little girl you guys! I am so happy for you. I loved going from 2 to 3 - I think I was just more relaxed and realized how fast that precious baby stage goes. I've loved every minute of our little #3 Blake. Thanks for the pics and the awesome story (soooo jealous of how fast it was - was there time for an epidural?). Congrats!!!

She's here already?!? Time flies :) Congratulations! I'm so glad things worked out so well that week. Maybe this is a good sign that she is major cooperator - hehe! It looks like you had a good time with your siblings too. We've all really spread out also, it's definitely nice when everyone can get together at the same time. Hope things are going well and that that sweet little newborn (and your boys) are letting you get some rest :)
