I want to document how much I hate painting red!!! This is why...
We took out the front porch and made a little play house for the boys. We talked about different things it could be, but Brayden insisted on a FIREHOUSE. In our Dave Ramsey attempts of being cheap and frugal we purchased OOPS paint for cheap. Well OOPS is right. The color was a CORAL color and not exactly what we were thinking. So I went to my trusty Paint specialist, explained that I was trying to be cheap and what should I do? Well he then sold me another gallon of OOPS paint for cheap to cover the other color. I opened the can and about cried... It was Bright HOT PINK! I called him up and said that I didn't think I could do it. He insisted that I have a little faith. Well this firehouse now looks more like a Firehouse, only with a pink tint. After several coats, it is getting better but now today it is raining all day and it looks streaky!!!! I HATE RED paint.

Hate, hate, HATE. I went with "Cherry Cobbler" at the recommendation of some friends, and had to do pink primer and FOUR COATS (two full gallons) to cover the office walls. it still had streaks and looked awful when I was done. Next time I'll just use red accents in the room instead of painting the walls. I feel your pain! :) I'm sure the firehouse is darling and that your boys love it though!
We need pictures of the little red, oops, pink firehouse. Could you please e-mail me the recipe you made us at my last girls night out. It was the tostada thing with the dressing from the restaurant in Utah. Hope that made sense. My e-mail
